PURPOSE: A method for generating a data stream to display 3D user recognition information, a device thereof, a method for playing thereof, and a device for playing thereof are provided to display the recognition information to show a play mode of a display device with video content on a screen.;CONSTITUTION: A video data inserting unit inserts the video data of 2D or 3D video content into a data stream(2510). A 3D user recognition information inserting unit and a recognition information related information inserting unit insert 3D user recognition information, recognition information inserting information, and display authority information into the data stream(2520).
