The present invention relates to an environmentally friendly sewage treatment plant operation method for odor removal including: a final sedimentation basin disposed at a terminal end of a sewage treatment plant, a sludge discharge pipe and a sludge discharge pump for discharging settled sludge being provided in a lower end portion thereof, a gas discharge pipe and a gas discharge pump for discharging gas generated inside being provided on one side of an upper end portion thereof, and an outside air inflow pipe and a check valve being provided on the other side of the upper end portion thereof; a sludge treatment device treating the sludge transported from the sludge discharge pipe; a gas treatment device treating the gas generated during the sludge treatment by the sludge treatment device and the gas in the final sedimentation basin; a gas retreatment device retreating the gas primarily treated by the gas treatment device; and an odor blocking device blocking gas leak-based odor spread by closing an open upper portion of the final sedimentation basin. During the sludge treatment, gas generated during sludge drying and gas in the final sedimentation basin are subjected to a deodorization treatment, and thus problems attributable to the odor in the sewage treatment plant can be dealt with.
