The present invention relates a service system for providing functions of traffic load distribution, server duplication, and application of a network policy and service in a current network, and a method for controlling the service system. More specifically, the present invention relates to the service system in which proxy selectors of respective terminals and setting of proxies are controlled by a central controller and a specific traffic of a corresponding terminal is controlled to sequentially pass through a specific service server group or a plurality of service server groups, and thus a specific policy or service is enabled to be applied to the specific traffic, generated by the terminal, at any desirable time and specific network servers are enabled to provide services for load distribution and duplication at a desirable time in response to a service request. The present invention also relates to the method for controlling the service system.
