The present invention relates to an underwater pollutant detection robot using the Internet of Things (IoT) which comprises: an exploration rover body comprising a body unit which has a hollow structure with an open front side and an open rear side, a front side cover which is provided to the front side of the body unit, a rear side cover which is provided to the rear side of the body unit, and a transparent protection cap provided to the front side of the front side cover; a caterpillar device comprising a driving motor embedded in the body unit, a plurality of caterpillar vehicle wheels in conjunction with the driving motor, and a caterpillar which connects the vehicle wheels; a camera which is provided to an upper side of the front side cover to which the transparent protection cap is provided; an air floating device comprising a floating device container having an enclosing door provided to a lateral side of the body unit, an air injection hole embedded in the floating device container, an air compressor embedded in the body unit, and a rubber balloon provided to the air injection hole; a transmission and reception antenna provided to an upper side of the body unit; a sound wave generator which is provided to the upper side of the body unit; and a controller embedded to control the driving motor, the camera, the air compressor, the transmission and reception antenna, and the sound wave generator. The underwater pollutant detection robot using IoT can communicate with IoT around the same and can transmit and receive detection information in real time during detection of underwater pollutants. In addition, the underwater pollutant detection robot using IoT can rapidly float in an emergency situation by using the air floatation device and a weight throwing device.
