A method, system, and apparatus for cross-language image retrieval comprising a computer program encoded on a computer storage medium are provided. One method includes receiving an image search query and an image search result responsive to the first image search query. A translation of the image search query into another language is obtained and a search result that responds to each translation is received. An instruction is provided to the client device. The instructions cause the client device to present a user interface. The user interface has one or more image search results in response to the image search query and a cross-language search option for each of the translations. Each of the cross-language search options has a translation and a preview of the image search results in response to the translation.;
