The present invention relates to: a feed additive for enhancing immunity, comprising silkworms having improved antimicrobial peptide, wherein the feed additive comprises 1 to 50 parts by weight of silkworms having improved antimicrobial peptide with respect to 100 parts by weight of the feed additive; and to a production method thereof. By feeding the feed additive of the present invention to livestock, the productivity of the livestock is improved, health can be maintained, harmful intestinal bacteria can be inhibited, immunity can be controlled and the quality of livestock products can be improved. In addition, the feed additive of the present invention are comparable or superior to growth promoting antibiotics, and thus can be used as a natural novel antibiotic substitute added to the feed.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
