The present invention relates to a fault diagnosis and repair apparatus and method for an HDbaseT network system. A fault diagnosis and repair apparatus for an HDbaseT network system according to an embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a switch unit which receives an Ethernet signal; a combination unit which receives the Ethernet signal, input from the switch unit, and multimedia data, and which merges the Ethernet signal and the multimedia data together; a transmission unit which transmits data, output from the combination unit, to a reception unit; a control unit which receives the Ethernet signal input from the switch unit, which monitors the combination unit, which diagnoses whether a fault has occurred, and which generates a re-link command, a software reset command, or a hardware reset signal based on a result of the diagnosis; and a reset unit which receives a signal generated by the control unit, and which performs reset based on this received signal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
