The present invention relates to a system and a method for certifying a genuine product and reporting an illegal copy using a product identification code which can be continuously linked to an illegal copy reporting process when genuine product certification fails, and provide reliable legal evidence data for illegal copy sales when an illegal copy is reported. The system comprises: a plurality of user terminals which are capable of wired and wireless communication and have an application installed therein to recognize and identify a product identification code; a service company server to operate a prescribed service site; and a database to store and manage information of a genuine product or an illegal copy product transmitted by the user terminals according to control of the service company server. When the user terminals are used to connect by a product identification code included in a purchased product to perform genuine product certification, the service company server receives the product identification code, user terminal information, and user input information to record the information in the database to perform a genuine product certification process if the product identification code is first certification, and transmits a datasheet to input acquisition information of an illegal copy to the user terminals if the product identification code has undergone the genuine product certification process, and receives and stores the datasheet inputted by the user terminals.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
