The present invention relates to a composition for controlling Spodoptera exigua comprising E. Coli expressing dsRNA (Sequence number 1) specific to integrin 1 subunit (SeINT) of Spodoptera exigua, and to a method of controlling Spodoptera exigua. Provided in the present invention is a composition for controlling Spodoptera exigua by ingestion, which expresses dsRNA (Sequence number 1) specific to integrin 1 subunit (SeINT) of Spodoptera exigua and comprises ultrasound-treated transgenic E. Coli as an active ingredient. The method for controlling Spodoptera exigua of the present invention comprises the steps of: pre-treating the transgenic E. Coli by using an ultrasound treatment; feeding the pre-treated transgenic E. Coli to larvae of Spodoptera exigua; and treating the larvae with Bt toxin following the feeding. According to the present invention, the dsRNA expressed by E. Coli can effectively control Spodoptera exigua by suppressing the growth of, and ultimately killing, the larvae of Spodoptera exigua.
