The present invention relates to a composition for hair or scalp care comprising a Dioscorea bulbifera extract as an active ingredient, and a manufacturing method thereof. The composition of the present invention has excellent antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activity, thereby being effective in producing products for scalp or hair care.
