Disclosed are a system and a method for real-time betting. The real-time betting system, connected with at least one user terminal through a communication network, includes: a transceiving part; a display; a storage part; and a control part receiving a real-time broadcasting screen of a predetermined match in a streaming format through the transceiving part, outputting a player formation and the received real-time broadcasting screen through the display, storing betting information about a selected predetermined player when betting input is received to select the player through the outputted formation, determining whether the stored betting information matches event generation information or not when the event generation information is received through the transceiving part, and providing a dividend to the user based on a dividend rate if the information matches as a result of the determination. According to the present invention, the system is capable of making more lively the progress of a match by enabling betting even after the start of the match as well as increasing sales with continuous betting in the aspect of management.
