TH17 COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR INDUCTION OF TH17 CELLS

A strain of a human-derived bacterium was obtained from a complex stool sample, which was found to induce accumulation of Th17 cells in the intestine and to promote immune function. Pharmaceutical compositions containing such bacteria can be used as anti-infective agents, and as adjuvants in mucosal vaccines.
