The present invention relates to a method for preparing boron nitride nanotubes with high purity. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the preparation method comprises: a precursor powder preparation step of preparing nano-sized boron-catalytic precursor powder by ball-milling mixed powder in which amorphous boron powder and catalytic powder are mixed; a precursor-binder mixture preparation step of mixing a binder with the boron-catalytic precursor powder and manufacturing a precursor-binder mixture; and a film forming step of forming the precursor-binder mixture in a film form and forming a precursor film.
