The present invention relates to a method for growing spinach. Light having a wavelength with a red:blue:white ratio of 8:1:1 is lighted through an LED lamp from a closed-type plant factory system at light intensity of 170-190 molm^(-2)s^(-1) and at photoperiod of 14L/10D. The closed-type plant factory system has an internal environment in which temperature is 20-22C and relative humidity is 60-80%. According to the method of the present invention, spinach is sowed to a plug tray having a rock wool pellet contained therein, and the spinach is transplanted at plant density in a closed-type plant factory. A liquid dipping-type circulation hydropoic scheme is ensured. An optimal light quality is applied, so the growth of spinach is promoted. Moreover, high quality spinach can be effectively produced.
