Suggested is a lithium metal battery which includes: a lithium metal anode; a protective layer which is arranged on an upper side of the lithium metal anode and includes i) a polymer and ii) one or more selected from nitrogen-containing additives and metal salt including I group or II group elements; a cathode; and a liquefied electrolyte which is interposed between the cathode and the protective layer. One or more selected from nitrogen-containing additives and metal salt including I group or II group elements are insoluble in an organic solvent of the liquefied electrolyte. Accordingly, the present invention can suppress the formation of lithium dendrite on the surface of the lithium metal anode.
