The battery management method according to the present invention includes modeling the characteristics of a battery based on the charging characteristic, discharging characteristic, temperature characteristic, and lifetime characteristic of the battery, and storing a modeling result as matrix-type data, obtaining battery state information, and calculating the remaining capacity of the battery based on the battery state information and the matrix-type data. According to the present invention, the remaining capacity of the battery can be accurately figured out, so the battery can be managed in an optimal state.
