The present invention relates to an automatic drain pump capable of troubleshooting, which is able to easily diagnose if there is any disorder by measuring the RPMs of a motor by using the counter electromotive force, and to protect a controller, which has many disorders in the poor environment to handle a variety of filthy water, from being inundated by filthy water. The present invention provides a drain pump, comprising: a pump main frame which has a built-in motor pump which comprises: a motor; and an impeller, whose bottom has an inlet to intake filthy water, and whose side surface has an outlet to discharge the filthy water taken in through the inlet; an overcurrent detection comparison unit which measures the current supplied to the motor and detects the overcurrent by comparing the current with a standard current; a counter electromotive force detector unit which detects the counter electromotive force of the motor; and a controller which mixes a switching signal, which rotates the motor, and speed data, which outputs a driving control signal, which, when the overcurrent is detected, controls the driving of the motor to be turned off, and which determines if the driving control signal is variable or not by determining the RPMs of the motor through the detected counter electromotive force. The controller, when the rev count of the motor exceeds a rotation error range after variable output of the driving control signal, determines that there is a disorder, and outputs a disorder signal to the user.
