The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for tracking a position of a moving beacon device using a network beacon device capable of tracking a position of a moving object with low power at low costs. The method of tracking a position of a moving beacon device using a network beacon device includes: a step of, by a network beacon device, receiving setting information including an operation mode from a server and setting an operation mode according to the setting information; a step of receiving a beacon signal sent from the moving beacon device; a step of determining whether the moving beacon device is a position tracking object in consideration of the operation mode; and a step of, when the moving beacon device corresponds to the position tracking object, transmitting information required to calculate a position of the moving beacon device to the server and then, by the server, calculating a position of the moving beacon device. The operation mode may include a first mode tracking only a position of the moving beacon device of a network beacon device manager and a second mode tracking positions of both moving beacon devices of another user and the moving beacon device of the network beacon device manager. Further, the second mode may include mode 2-1 tracking a position of the moving beacon device of a user who is allowed to use the network beacon device and the moving beacon device of the network beacon device manager and mode 2-2 tracking positions of all the moving beacon devices.
