A method for determining an LOD for texturing in a graphics processing device comprises the following steps of: determining a reference quad among a plurality of quads; determining similarity between reference quads and blocks including the reference quads by using texture coordinates of the reference quads; and determining LODs with respect to the reference quads based on a similarity determination result as LODs with respect to surrounding quads.
