SIMD SM3 INSTRUCTIONS AND LOGIC TO PROVIDE SIMD SM3 CRYPTOGRAPHIC HASHING FUNCTIONALITY

The command and logic provide the SIMD SM3 cryptographic hashing function. Some embodiments include a processor including a first and a second set of source data operands and a decoder for decoding instructions for SIMD SM3 message extension specifying the degree of expansion. The execution unit, in response to the instruction, performs a plurality of SM3 message extensions, determined by the specified extent, from the first and second sets of source data operands and stores the result in a SIMD destination register. Some embodiments also execute instructions for the SIMD SM3 hash round slice portion of the hashing algorithm, from the intermediate hash value input, the source data set, and the set of round constants. The execution unit performs the set of SM3 hashing rounds repeated for the source data set while applying the intermediate hash value input and round constant set, and stores the new hash value result in the SIMD destination register.
