The present invention aims to provide a method to estimate water absorption of an insulation material in a water-cooled power generator stator winding and calculate when a disorder may occur, comprising: a step of modeling a normal capacitance variation model based on capacitance data which are acquired from a normal winding; a step of modeling a water absorption capacitance variation model based on capacitance data which are acquired from a winding which has absorbed water; a step of calculating a change curve of integrity factor which shows the degree of water absorbed by a winding based on the normal capacitance variation model and the water absorption capacitance variation model; a step of repeating capacitance data sampling from the normal winding and repeating modeling of the normal capacitance variation model and calculation of the change curve of integrity factor; and a step of calculating the probability distribution on a time point when the integrity factor exceeds a standard value based on repetition.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
