An overhead shuttle device of an OSS low-carbon automated terminal and a control method thereof are disclosed. The overhead shuttle device for receiving a control signal from an external integrated control center comprises: a first spreader for picking up a 20 ft, 40 ft, or 45 ft container; a first spreader driving unit for driving the first spreader; and a master control unit for operating in one of a 40 ft linking mode, a 45 ft linking mode, or a 20 ft linking mode to control the first spreader driving unit by switching to a master mode in accordance with the control signal. According to an embodiment of the present invention, 40 or 45 ft container operation of two 20 ft exclusive shuttles is able to be performed by using a link device.
