The present invention relates to a flexible waterproof base material containing linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) having the degree of hydrosis of 70-99%, the weight average molecular weight less than or equal to 70,000, and the degree of polymerization less than or equal to 650. The present invention further relates to a method for producing the flexible waterproof base material in a film type, and a packaging material coated with the waterproof base material.
