The present invention relates to water treatment. More specifically, the present invention relates to a system and a method for energy saving forward osmosis-filtration membrane combination water treatment using a polymer inducing material and seawater desalination wherein the system uses the polymer inducing material as a forward osmosis inducing solution and thus can perform water treatment without an additional high pressure pump by using forward osmosis pressure and volume increase pressure. The system for energy saving type forward osmosis-filtration membrane combination water treatment using a polymer inducing material and seawater desalination comprises: a forward osmosis processing unit comprising an inflow water tank for accommodating inflow water to be processed and an induction solution tank for accommodating the forward osmosis inducing solution including a polymer inducing solute; a forward osmosis membrane located between the insertion water tank and the induction solution tank; and a filtration membrane located on the other side of the forward osmosis membrane. The insertion water penetrates the forward osmosis membrane by pressure generated by concentration difference between the inflow water and the forward osmosis inducting solution. The inflow water, having penetrated the forward osmosis membrane, after flowing into the induction solution tank, is filtrated while passing through the filtration membrane by pressure resulted from an increase of volume, and processed into processed water. Accordingly, high driving force can be maintained in a forward osmosis process, and a consumption amount of energy needed for recollecting the induction solution can be reduced as an additional pressure device is not needed on the filtration membrane.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
