ENERGY-SAVING SEAWATER DESALINATION REVERSE OSMOSIS MEMBRANES

Seawater desalination using membrane technology has been increasingly developed as one of the most efficient solutions for global water resource issues. In recent years, there has been strong demand for membranes that enable energy-saving operation at low pressure. This paper reports an innovative osmosis membrane made from aromatic polyamide polymer that allows lower pressure operation than conventional products and describes economically superior operation technology.
