According to the present invention, a wavelength swept quantum cascade laser based on direct optical amplitude modulation comprises: a quantum cascade gain medium mounted on a resonator to amplify light supplied to the resonator; an isolator mounted on the resonator to move the light amplified by the quantum cascade gain medium in one direction; and a polarization controller mounted on the resonator to match polarization of the light resonating in the resonator. An amplitude of the light can be directly modulated to oscillate a selected wavelength in accordance with a resonance speed of a wavelength set by the quantum cascade gain medium. According to an embodiment of the present invention, An optical amplitude is directly modulated by the quantum cascade gain medium to simplify an overall structure. An electrical method is applied instead of a mechanical operating method to realize excellent durability and improve a speed.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
