The present invention relates to a low-power and low-carbon type of screw press with a filtering function on a screw shaft, wherein the concentration and dewatering effect of a sludge are drastically increased by using a hollow screw shaft. The invention comprises: a support fixed and installed on one side and the other side of the upper portion of the base frame; a hollow cylindrical screen chamber having a double perforated net and being fixed at both ends between the one side and the other side support; a screw shaft provided inside the screen chamber and formed to have an outer diameter gradually increased from one end toward the other end; a screw blade formed in a spiral shape on an outer circumferential surface of the screw shaft; a screw forcibly rotated by the driving means; a cleaning unit for cleaning the screen chamber, which is located outside the chamber; and a pressing unit for pressing the concentrated sludge toward the other side of the support while moving toward the one side. The screw shaft is hollow with a perforated network, allowing a discharge of some water containing outside the screw shaft into the inside for dehydration, when the sludge is pressed by the rotation of the screw shaft. The hollow screw shaft increases the concentration and dewatering effect of sludge remarkably, thereby reducing energy consumption and minimizing carbon dioxide emission, and enhancing concentration and dehydration effect.
