The present invention relates to a production method of packing styrofoam using expanded polystyrene particles and packing styrofoam produced thereby. The production method of packing styrofoam using expanded polystyrene particles comprises: an expanded polystyrene particles production step (S100) of pulverizing styrofoam produced using expanded polystyrene into expanded polystyrene particles having a uniform particle size; an expanded polystyrene particle mixture production step (S200) of mixing silicates, aluminum silicate, and heat-insulating powder with the expanded polystyrene particles to produce a mixture of expanded polystyrene particles; a solvent and binder mixing step (S300) of mixing the mixture with a solvent and a binder and dissolving the same; a mixing step (S400) of using an agitator to have the solvent and the binder uniformly mixed and dispersed in the mixture in which the expanded polystyrene particles, silicates, aluminum silicate, and heat-insulating powder are mixed; and a molding step (S500) of feeding the agitated mixture into a mold having a predetermined shape to produce packing styrofoam. Through the above configuration, the present invention can reduce the production cost by performing a molding using a mixture of pulverized expanded polystyrene particles and various additives; achieve curing over a short time without cracking and shrinking; provide excellent heat insulation performance and flame resistance that secure mechanical and physicochemical strength even when in contact with fire; prevent fire from spreading through toxic gases; minimize cracking and shrinking phenomena; and reduce the environmental pollution.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
