The present invention is to provide a composite photocatalyst comprising a metal oxide and crystalline poly[3-hexylthiophene] adsorbed on part of the surface of the metal oxide, and a method for preparing the same. According to the present invention, through effects of implementing excellent photocatalyst decomposition abilities and chemical durability, the composite photocatalyst comprising a metal oxide and crystalline poly[3-hexylthiophene] and the preparation method can be used as an organic-inorganic visible ray composite photocatalsyt system with high efficiency used in a field requiring harmful gas decomposition, and as a method for easily preparing the same.
