The present invention relates to a method for correcting the reflectivity of a single polarization radar using a disdrometer and a dual polarization radar, and more particularly, to a method for correcting the reflectivity of the single polarization radar, which calculates and corrects the deviation of the reflectivity data of the single polarization radar using the reflectivity data of the disdrometer or the reflectivity data of the dual polarization radar, according to the reflectivity values of the disdrometer and the dual polarization radar. The method of correcting the reflectivity includes: a first step of acquiring an observed reflectivity data from the single polarization radar and the dual polarization radar, respectively; a second step of determining whether the reflectivity values for the reflectivity data of the single polarization radar and the disdrometer are respectively larger than a predetermined threshold reflectivity value; a third step of calculating the deviation of the single polarization radar with respect to the reflectivity data of the disdrometer if the reflectivity values of the single polarization radar and the disdrometer are higher than the critical reflectivity value, and calculating the deviation of the single polarization radar with respect to the reflectivity data of the dual polarization radar if the reflectivity values of the single polarization radar and the disdrometer are lower than the critical reflectivity value, according to the above determination; a fourth step of applying the calculated deviation to the reflectivity data of the single polarization radar and correcting it. The present invention provides the method of correcting for the reflectivity of the single polarization radar which can improve the accuracy of rainfall estimation by reliably correcting the reflectivity value of the single polarization radar using the disdrometer and the dual polarization radar.
