A process for preparing a hydrate of a zinc carboxylate, a hydrate of the zinc carboxylate prepared from the hydrate, and a hydrate of the zinc carboxylate are disclosed. Since the zinc hydroxide nanoparticles having a high specific surface area and a stable crystal structure are used in the process for producing the hydrate of the zinc carboxylic acid, a hydrate of the zinc carboxylate can be produced at a high yield through a simple process. In addition, it is possible to provide an antibacterial plastic exhibiting excellent antimicrobial activity by using the hydrate of the zinc carboxylate.
