The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for treating stench and volatile organic compounds in polluted air, wherein the apparatus comprises: a polluted air inlet; a pre-treatment chamber which is connected to one end of the inlet, and includes a filter therein to filter dust particles from the polluted air introduced through the inlet; a photooxidation chamber which is connected to an outgoing end of the pre-treatment chamber, and includes an ozone-generating UV lamp and a TiO_2-based photocatalyst therein to treat stench and volatile organic compounds (VOC) in the polluted air passing through the pre-treatment chamber by means of photooxidation and ozonation; a post-treatment chamber which is connected to an outgoing end of the photooxidation chamber, and includes an ozone removal means charged with an ozone reactive catalyst to remove residual ozone contained in the air passing through the photooxidation chamber; and an air outlet which is connected to an outgoing end of the post-treatment chamber.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
