One embodiment of the present specification relates to an application executing method for providing financial information for a lock screen of a portable terminal, and an apparatus thereof. According to the embodiment of the present specification, the application executing method for providing the financial information for the lock screen of the portable terminal comprises the steps of: registering a financial information application which provides financial information received from a financial server on a lock screen of a portable terminal; setting execution information on the registered financial information application; executing the financial information application on the basis of the set execution information; displaying the financial information received from the financial server on the lock screen of the portable terminal when the financial information application is executed; detecting a swipe input by the lock screen of the portable terminal; and providing a reward in accordance with the detected swipe input.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
