The present invention relates to a bamboo drying method using PEG to prevent the generation of cracks. The bamboo drying method comprises: a bamboo cutting step (S100) of cutting bamboo as a fresh material into a proper length; a bamboo washing step (S200) of washing the cut bamboo; a PEG impregnating step (S300) of inserting the washed bamboo in an impregnation bath containing PEG and impregnating the washed bamboo with PEG for a certain period; a drying step (S400) of inserting the bamboo impregnated with PEG in a dryer and drying the same; and a post-treating step (S500) of re-inserting the dried bamboo in the dryer, increasing the temperature inside the dryer to a certain temperature, drying the bamboo by maintaining the temperature for a certain period, and drying the bamboo by gradually decreasing the temperature inside the dryer. Accordingly, the generation of cracks on the bamboo can be effectively prevented. In addition, bamboo with a beautiful external appearance in a dry condition can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
