摘要

The present invention relates to novel glutamate decarboxylase (GAD) capable of producing γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) at high efficiency, and to a production method of GABA using the same. The GAD is composed of an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1. The GAD is separated from a Bacteroides EFEL 002 strain (deposition number KACC91919P). The present invention is a novel enzyme which has a higher activity than the conventionally-used enzyme of lactic acid bacteria and can produce GABA at high efficiency.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
