Disclosed are a ballast tank for a ship, and a ship having the same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the ballast tank for a ship comprises: left and right tanks of which at least a portion is filled with ballast water, provided to both side units of a hull of a ship; and a connection tank of which at least a portion is filled with the ballast water, connecting the left and right tanks.
