The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for detecting the pollution of marine organisms capable of detecting the occurrence of marine organisms safely and quickly by detecting the attachment of the marine organisms underwater through measurement of electric resistance in water. To this end, the present invention includes: a main body provided on an outer side of a hull in water; an electrode provided on a surface of the main body and measuring electric resistance; and a resistance measurement terminal connected to the electrode by an internal connection wire and installed on a deck of the hull. In addition, the present invention relates to a method for detecting the pollution of marine organisms, including: installing a main body having a pair of electrodes on a side surface of the hull so as to enter the water; measuring a change in electric resistance between two electrodes through seawater while the main body is installed in water; measuring and detecting, in water, an electric resistance value measured at the electrode through the resistance measurement terminal in such a manner that resistance measurement terminal is connected to the electrode by the internal connection wire and installed on a deck of a hull.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
