The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing carbon nanotubes (CNTs), wherein cut carbon nanotubes are obtained by spraying high pressure jet to carbon nanotubes. According to the present invention, process time is shortened dramatically and a short CNT of 100 nm or less can be manufactured. A carbon nanotube manufactured thereby is suitable for preparing a CNT hybridized material requiring many surface functional groups as functional groups are formed on the entire surface.
