The present invention relates to a novel human gene involved in the replication of an influenza virus and use thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to a pharmacological composition for preventing or treating the influenza virus and a health functional food for preventing or treating the same based on an expression inhibitor of a gene TMPRSS9 involved in the replication of the influenza virus, an activation inhibitor of a protein TMPRSS9, or a mixture thereof as an active ingredient. The present invention relates to a method for screening an antiviral drug against the influenza virus by estimating the mRNA of the gene TMPRSS9 or the protein level thereof.
