A method for minimizing the size of minimal cut sets by using an independent module according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: searching an independent module which can factorize the minimal cut sets in a minimal cut set analyzer; and minimizing the size of the minimal cut sets by factorizing the minimal cut sets by using the searched independent module in the minimal cut set analyzer.
