The present invention relates to a method to determine an abnormal state of a waterjet nozzle, classifying the abnormal state of the waterjet nozzle into each damage type to discriminate the abnormal state. According to the present invention, the method comprises: a signal reception step of receiving a sound signal measured in the waterjet nozzle; and a discrimination step of discriminating damage of the nozzle by the received sound signal. In the discrimination step, when a root mean square (RMS) value of the received sound signal is larger than a first setting value which is a case when only high pressure water is supplied to the nozzle, and is smaller than a second setting value, which is a normal state, a first abnormal state uniformly extending an inner diameter of the nozzle is determined. When the RMS value of the received sound signal is larger than the first setting value which is the case when only the high pressure water is supplied to the nozzle, and is larger than the second setting value, which is the normal state, a second abnormal state that the inner diameter of the nozzle is eccentrically abraded is determined.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
