The nonlinear distortion is configured to mitigate nonlinearity from nonlinear components of the nonlinear system. The nonlinear distortion unit performs the operation of modeling nonlinearity as a function of the piecewise polynomial approximation applied to the segments of the nonlinear function. The nonlinear distortion generator produces a model output that reduces the nonlinearity of the nonlinear component.
