The present invention relates to a method for preparing titanosilicate substituted with a pentavalent cation, wherein the method comprises the steps of: (a) preparing a solution mixture containing a titanium precursor, a silicone precursor, sodium hydroxide, niobium oxide, and a pentavalent cation oxide; and (b) heating the solution mixture to form crystallized titanosilicate. According to the method for preparing titanosilicate substituted with a pentavalent cation, by incorporating a stable penta-coordinated cation in place of a portion of the titanium atoms in a titanosilicate skeleton, the number of sodium ions in an 8-ring window of the titanosilicate skeleton decreases, and thus a repulsion force among the sodium ions is reduced and cesium ions are allowed to be more easily ion-exchanged. Also, an increase in the coordination number of the ion-exchanged cesium ion from 8 to 12 allows the cesium ions to be located more securely in the skeleton. Therefore, an adsorbent having improved selectivity and adsorption capacity to cesium can be produced.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
