A training method for optimal control of a cooling water control valve according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of detecting a driving condition and determining whether a training condition is satisfied; a step of sequentially changing an opening ratio of a cooling water passage connected from a cooling water control valve to a radiator side when the training condition is satisfied; a step of detecting an actual temperature change value of the engine cooling water in accordance with the change of the opening ratio; a step of comparing the actual temperature change value and a reference temperature change value and calculating the difference therebetween; and a step of changing the reference temperature change value to the actual temperature change value when the difference is equal to or greater than a preset value.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
