The present invention relates to an apparatus to predict a housing sales index by using an artificial neural network, comprising: a collection unit interlinked with at least one website to collect a real housing sales index of a predetermined area and a search frequency of at least one candidate search word at a constant time interval; an operation unit extracting a standard housing sales index and a standard search frequency through standardization of the real housing sales index and the search frequency of the candidate search word, and using the standard housing sales index and the standard search frequency of the candidate search work to operate positive and negative relation indexes; a search word extraction unit to extract an effective search word of which the positive or negative relation index is smaller than a threshold; and a prediction unit inputting the search frequency of the effective search word into an artificial neural network algorithm and adjusting the number N of coefficient values of the artificial neural network algorithm based on a previously stored database to predict the housing sales index in accordance with the search frequency of the effective search word. According to the present invention, since the artificial neural network algorithm is used, the housing sales index can be conveniently expected in accordance with increase of the number of prediction performance. Moreover, data acquisition and analysis to predict the housing sales index can be conveniently and quickly performed, so a time and expenses required to provide the housing sales index to a user are reduced.
