(A) the wabG gene and the budC gene are inactivated; (b) a Klebsiella species recombinant strain for producing ( R, R ) -2,3-butanediol in which the gldA gene and the dhaD gene are overexpressed. The recombinant Klebsiella strain of the present invention, which has been recombined through gene deletion and overexpression, has excellent ( R, R ) -2,3-butanediol producing ability. In particular, the recombinant strain of the present invention increased the production of ( R, R ) -2,3-butanediol 6.0-7.0 times as compared with strains in which the wabG gene and the budC gene were inactivated.
