A method for acquiring a 4D image according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: reconstructing a 3D image composed of a plurality of frames from scan data which is gated; designating one or more target frames in the 3D image, acquiring motion information of neighboring frames in a predetermined time range for each target frame of the 3D image, and extending the predetermined time range; and acquiring the 4D image by compensating the motion for each of the target frames based on the acquired motion information.
