Described are compositions useful in many applications such as digestion or refrigeration. The composition may be a mixture of hydrochlorofluorocarbons such as 2,2-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoroethane, dispersants such as CF₃I, and an inert gas, such as argon, and in some embodiments may be under pressure. For example, some of the digestion compositions include 2,2-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoroethane, CF₃I, and argon.;
