The present invention relates to a method for checking confirming a single nucleotide polymorphism of a gene locus to provide information for predicting or diagnosing the occurrence of atrial fibrillation, and the method for providing information of the present invention confirmed that the single nucleotide polymorphism related to diagnosis and prediction of the atrial fibrillation by using a genome-wide association analysis method, and for the first time, confirmed Korean-specific single nucleotide polymorphism, thereby being utilized as personalized information in various treatment processes such as treatment, surgery, and operation of individual Koreans by using the same. Therefore, it is expected that the risk of the atrial fibrillation can be effectively reduced as the method can provide the basis for preventive and active intervention for an increase of the atrial fibrillation in accordance with an increase in the high-age class.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
