We have proposed a novel design of an organic / inorganic composite electrolyte to achieve an improved cycle life of a lithium - sulfur battery. In order to suppress the dissolution of the polysulfide by the polymer electrolyte during charging and discharging of the lithium-sulfur battery, the silica nanoparticles having a negative charge were distributed inside the polymer electrolyte, and in particular, concentrated inthe vicinity of the anode surface, This dissolution phenomenon can be greatly reduced. The development of a composite gel polymer electrolyte (gCPE) with such a unique internal structure has resulted in a long-term stability that is a long-awaited long-term stability of the lithium-sulfur battery. As a result, 1140 mAh / g in the first cycle, A new lithium-sulfur battery with a high discharge capacity of 970 mAh / g and improved lifetime could be developed.
